My son Steven use to climb up this tree when he was little. It once had an old abandoned tree-house built up in the limbs. He discovered it one day on one of walks with the dogs through the fields. Steven thought that it was the coolest thing and he thought that he was the only one knew about it due to it being hidden back in with some orchards and cotton fields. He never saw any other kids around. It was quite a ways off of any main roads.
Today that tree is no longer hidden. As a matter of fact it stands in the middle of the road just off the corner of County Center and Ferguson in Visalia. In the lower left hand corner of this photo you will see the headlights of a car coming my way. The tree-house is now long gone but if you look closely when you drive by, you will still see some old ropes and some of the old mounting boards that are nailed to the tree.
In my eyes it will always be "The Old Tree-house Tree". Rp
